SUISEKI
Digital print on Hanhmühle Paper,
polished stone set and mounted on silver rod.
50 x 32 x 5 cm
By a protocol and a simple gesture I polish a stone daily until a step close to its disappearance. This piece evokes a moment between two states. As a reversal of temporal strata, the opposite of a sedimentation in the making. I work at the antipode of a concretion which increases by progressive contribution of matter. By gradual erasing this stone dissolves little by little.
